A simple Beyblade X setup needs an Xtreme Stadium, two compatible Beys and launchers. A starter or battle set is often the clearest path because its components are designed to work together and its instructions define the safe play area.
Know the three main parts
- Blade: the upper contact layer that provides shape, mass and spin direction.
- Ratchet: the middle locking part that influences height and burst characteristics.
- Bit: the lower tip and gear, controlling floor movement and Xtreme Line interaction.
Inspect every part before play. Do not use cracked, bent or unusually loose components.
Assemble the Bey
Follow the instructions supplied with the product. In the standard X format, the Ratchet locks beneath the Blade and the Bit locks into the Ratchet. Confirm that each connection is fully seated. Never force incompatible parts together or modify the lock.

Prepare the play area
Place the stadium on a stable, level surface with clear space around it. Use its cover or shield as directed. Keep spectators back, keep hands and faces outside the opening, and use age-appropriate supervision. Only retrieve Beys after all movement has stopped.
Launch and score
Attach each Bey to its compatible launcher, agree on the countdown, and launch into the stadium together. Common Beyblade X scoring awards:
- 1 point for a Spin Finish.
- 2 points for an Over Finish.
- 2 points for a Burst Finish.
- 3 points for an Xtreme Finish.
Formats and tournament procedures can vary, so use the rules for the event or set you are playing.
Your first practice session
- Launch each Bey alone five times at moderate power.
- Observe whether it holds center, travels widely or reaches the Xtreme Line.
- Battle the same pair several times without changing parts.
- Swap launcher sides to reduce position bias.
- Change one part and repeat.
Where to go next
Practice a neutral flat launch, learn the four performance types, then experiment with one alternate Bit. The BBX Arena simulator can help you form hypotheses, but physical results should be verified with the real parts and safe equipment.
